Ingredients

  • 2New York Striploin Steaks
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Japanese Steak Sauce
  • ¼cup toasted white sesame seeds
  • 2tablespoon onions
  • 1teaspoon garlic
  • ¼cup soy sauce
  • ¼cup water
  • 1teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1cup of grapeseed oil or avocado oil
Set base servings to enable scaling:

Teppanyaki Sauce

Using a Vitamix or a high-powered blender. Blend all the ingredients except the grapeseed oil.

Once the mixture is fully blended, slowly incorporate the oil. Let the blender emulsify until it creates a thick sauce.

Set the sauce aside in the fridge.

Steak

Salt the steak on both sides.

Sear on cast iron for 3 minutes on each side or until the steak is medium rare.

Remove from heat and rest.

Serve with the sauce on the side.

Japanese Steak Sauce

Using a Vitamix or a high-powered blender. Blend all the ingredients except the oil.

Once the mixture is fully blended, slowly incorporate the oil. Let the blender emulsify until it creates a thick sauce.

Let the sauce set in the fridge while you cook the steak.

Steak

Salt the steak

Sear on a cast iron for 3 minutes on each side or until medium rare.

Serve with the steak sauce on the side and fresh jasmine rice.

Notes

Use a high-powered blender like a Vitamix or a food processor.Slowly drizzle the oil to help the sauce emulsify.
