Ingredients

  • 1.5lbs Brussels Sprouts, roots trimmed and halved lengthwise
  • ½tsp kosher salt
  • ½tsp black pepper
  • ½tsp garlic powder
  • 1tbsp honey
  • 2tbsp neutral-flavored oil
  • Neutral-flavored oil spray
Set base servings to enable scaling:

Directions

Trim off the root of the brussels sprouts and cut them lengthwise (vertically) into halves and transfer them to a bowl.

Add the neutral-flavored oil to the brussels sprouts and season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and honey. Mix until all the brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

Place the brussels sprouts in a single layer into your air fryer basket. Remove any loose single leaves that have fallen off the brussels sprouts – these will burn.

Air fry at 400F for 12-14 minutes. Give the air fryer basket a good shake to mix up the brussels sprouts. Air fry a second time at 400F for 8-10 minutes until super crispy.

Notes

Brussels Sprouts Sizes: Try to use brussels sprouts of similar sizes. The more even and uniform the sizes are, the more evenly they will cook – including crisping up at the same rate! When you use differently sized brussels sprouts (significantly smaller or larger than the rest), some may burn while others are only slightly crispy.Cooking Times May Vary: Cooking times can vary for a number of factors, including the type of air fryer you are using and the size of your brussels sprouts. For this reason, I always recommend you check your brussels sprouts as they are cooking in the air fryer to ensure that they are done to your liking. I like mine on the darker and crispier side. If you prefer them less dark and/or crispy, I would adjust the cooking time by a few minutes less.Give Them a Good Shake: When checking your brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket, make sure to give them a good shake. This will help re-distribute the brussels sprouts and help them cook evenly. You want each one to get crispy and beautifully golden brown!Be Generous With Your Oil: These brussels sprouts are able to get crispy in the air fryer primarily because of the oil –therefore, make sure each brussels sprout is coated evenly. Don’t be afraid to use a little more oil if needed!
